nipple_piercing_phil_8.JPG (69192 bytes)This series of pictures shows a vertical nipple piercing being stretched up from a 1.6mm to a 2.4mm. In the first picture you can see me measuring the piercing first to ascertain the starting size of the original bar.

nip1.JPG (68230 bytes)Next we removed the current jewellery carefully following it through with the appropriate size of insertion pin. This was well lubricated to ease the stretching process

nip3.jpg (67991 bytes)The insertion pin is gradually pushed further through the piercing with a gentle twisting action to help prevent adhesion between the pin and the inside of the piercing.

nip4.JPG (30023 bytes)Here you can see the insertion pin almost completely through. We have stopped for a few seconds to allow the skin to relax and settle down before continuing with the stretch. Luckily his nipples are fairly easy to stretch and this was the only pause we needed to take during the whole procedure.

nip10.JPG (67991 bytes)The pin is pushed gently further in until we reach the untapered part at the end. The stretch is now effectively completed. All that remains is to insert the new jewellery.

nip7.JPG (31157 bytes)The new bar is butted up against the end of the taper. Sometimes it is possible for it to just nestle inside the open end and give a more secure connection between the two. Then in one smooth movement the jewellery and taper are pushed the rest of the way through. This normally feels quite a relief as the jewellery is often a fraction smaller than the end of the pin and so the skin has a chance to relax a little.

nip6.JPG (24526 bytes)Finally the jewellery is secured in this case by screwing the ball onto the bar and our stretchee is able to admire his new size of jewellery. This guy intends to come back shortly to get both vertical nipple piercings stretched up again to 3.2mm. We usually advise giving your body at least a month to recover from a stretch although sometimes it takes longer and other people may be able to move on quicker. Stretching is definitely best taken slowly. It really doesn't pay to rush it.
