Female Genital Aftercare

lDue to the good blood supply these areas heal up very quickly and have a high success rate. This does mean that they may bleed a bit more than other piercings and possibly off and on for a couple of days. This is nothing to worry about although if it continues for more than a week or is very heavy you would be advised to return to the studio or see a doctor.

lClean twice daily with salt water or in the bath or shower.

lMake sure you remove all crust from the jewellery before attempting to move it.

lTo prevent infection avoid any sexual contact involving an exchange of bodily fluids (e.g. oral sex, unprotected intercouse) until piercing is healed. Also do not attempt to get too playful with it for at least a couple of weeks if not a month, to avoid bruising, tearing or hurting the piercing.
