Only when both piercer and piercee are satisfied with the placement of the marks do we continue. The piercings are measured to check for symmetry and to help size the jewellery properly. In most cases the jewellery will be larger than the length of the piercing to allow for swelling and to facilitate cleaning. The jewellery can be downsized free of charge once the piercing has settled down.
