While the anaesthetic is taking effect the distance between
the piercing site and the end of the urethra is measured to give an indication of ring
size. Ideally this should be done when the penis is erect but sometimes this is not
possible, in which case a few nosy questions, a bit of extrapolation and a pinch of
generosity are employed to determine the initial ring size. Any subsequent jewellery
changes are free of charge if this ring turns out to be too big (or too small - ouch!) We
