These two
pictures show a piercing through the loose skin around the knuckle. The bar must be long
enough to allow the skin to stretch when a fist is made or it will be uncomfortable or the
pressure may cause the piercing to cut into the skin and ultimately reject. This piercing
was performed free-hand i.e. without a clamp, but this does depemd on how loose the skin
on the hand is. The person wearing the piercing likes it enough to be considering getting
two more to complete the set.
